About

Hello,

My story with Socio Aesthetics started when I was living in Brussels and where I discovered a woman doing beauty therapy treatment for people in hospital. After 4 years I decided to come back to France and I found a training in Paris and...this where a new life started.

My name is Natacha Sullivan a fully trained and graduated Social Beauty Therapist since 2012. I had the chance to work in various charitable organisations for vulnerable men and women in Paris but also I made my internship in Oncology and Alzheimer's services in hospital. During a year gap I moved to Singapore where I was volunteering and doing social beauty workshops for various charities including the Singapore Cancer Society and French new mummy.

Since I moved to Bristol I always wanted to introduce this concept and I decided to do volunteering in various charities and I could see the positive impact and the benefit of my services for the people I cared for.

So In 2021 I decided to join Eddie from @eddiestreetcuts who for years has been doing haircuts for homeless and I was with him doing hygiene manicure. I created 'The Beauty Of Caring CIC' who is a unique concept imported from France which aims to help vulnerable people through beauty therapy to regain dignity, self esteem and humanity. I am delivering this beauty treatments in a social and medical structure in Bristol and Bath.

I am also a UK representative for CoSE Comité de Socio-Esthétique in France. It's an organisation who represents social beauty therapy but also our work all over France and internationally. I am participating to many trainings online but also I can stay connected with my colleagues and it gives me many ideas for my work here in the UK.

My mission is to provide access to beauty and well-being care to an underprivileged and vulnerable population to help them feel better physically and mentally when they are going through a difficult time in their lives.

My vision is to bring Socio-Aesthetics in England and demonstrate the positive impact with beauty treatments are essential in the healing process. Also sharing awareness to any professional  working in the beauty industry that beauty is for everyone.

The beauty of Caring CIC wants to be a source of inspiration, a social enterprise that aims to help the most vulnerable but also to encourage and inspire other beauty therapist and any people to become a social beauty therapist but also to join me on this adventure.

The Difference between a Social Beauty Therapist and a Beauty therapist

A social beauty therapist has the particularity of having skills in the health and social sectors. The care provided and the advice given (hygiene, choice of products, colors, etc.) are adapted according to the needs expressed by the beneficiary but also according to the needs identified by the team and adapted according to the pathologies and/or social situation.

The social beauty therapist can work in a 1 to 1 session or in collective workshop with vulnerable people. Her work it also has a large part of preparation at home and after a report of the session is always shared with a member of the team where it occurs. Socio-aesthetics allows a complementary accompaniment as well on the physical level as psychological thanks to a technical expertise and a non-medical listening

The beauty therapist is working in a classic beauty salon  and she provides aesthetic care without medical knowledge, to an apparently healthy public.
